As I seem to have offended WireTalk, and maybe some others, I think
it's time to retire the keyboard.
USENet just isn't what it used to be, and people like me are part of
the reason for this.

And IMO, a little humor is definitely not unwelcome.

OTOH, subtle or esoteric humor might offend some :-)
