http:// www. giveawayoftheday. com/start-menu-x-pro-5-02/ No support. No discounts or free upgrades to a new version. No business use. Personal-use only. GOTD wrapper has to phone home to verify today is the day you activate.* Cannot be installed on another day (e.g., when you have to reinstall). * * There are some tricks on how to discard the wrapper to extract the real installer. Then you can [re]install on any day and no Internet connect to phone home to GOTD. Start X gives you an alternate window. Its video talks about arranging their menu (flat -- shown all at once) into groups. Same can be done in the Windows Start menu. You can collapse groups. Yep, can do that, too, in Windows Start menu. You can ungroup and show everything in a big huge list. Alas, many users do this because they don't know about creating groups (folders) in the Windows Start menu or are lazy so every installed program ends up under the Start - Programs folder. You can put buttons in the Windows taskbar. Did pinning a program to the taskbar disappear in Windows 8 that was present in Windows 7? http://www.maketecheasier.com/the-ul...pinning-guide/ says it's still there. Icons can be resized. Same for Start menu. Yes, there are some extra tweaks available but many are fluff and certainly not worth $20. Maybe that's why they're giving it away: they need users to get hooked on their lure and buy it in a year and when they can no longer reinstall it. Seems pricey for fluff. |
