can I install Win 7 on this....
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H3B17R8..._t1_B01L6VS5US
Yes, that's right. If I wanted to do it, could I uninstall the Win 10 that it includes and put Win 7 on it, presumably to be done from USB or microSD (?) Thank you. |

Before wasting any time and effort on trying to use Windows 7 on the device, first check if the hardware has Windows 7 drivers. Since the device was likely designed specifically for Windows 10, any drivers the vendor created or were supplied by them may only work under Windows 10. That is, installing any other OS means it is up to you to check that there are actually drivers available for that OS to support the hardware. "NuVision" smacks of some seller slapping their brand on someone else's hardware. You will have to find out who is the real manufacturer so you can determine if that source has Windows 7 drivers for that device. At Amazon, NuVision merely has a store front there. There is no URL link to Nu Vision's own web site. Trying to find out who is the actual seller is not Amazon's forte. Sellers there tend to be well hidden. eBay is the same: you can see a history and user reviews there but you cannot find out much about the seller other than some region or address they claim as their distribution point. I did an online search and found http://www.nuvision.com/. Maybe that is the same seller at Amazon; however, I have purchased products from Amazon from sellers that used a name equal or similar to the product maker's name to deliberately confuse buyers into thinking they are buying from the maker at Amazon. http://www.nuvision.com/download-center/ That has no driver loads for any OS. You buy a package from them. Dismantling it means you won't have the necessary drivers needed for the hardware under a different OS. http://www.nuvision.com/assistance You could contact them there but I suspect they will spew a canned response that they only support the bundles they create, nothing you dismantle and want to create as a Frankenjob. I found no OS-specific drivers at their web site. Their product, like others, is not designed for hacking by users. You get their Windows 10 or Android versions of a device and use it that way. |

There's a suggestion of a "drop dead issue" here. http://superuser.com/questions/64999...ablet-possible "It is not possible. Win7 can't run in pure UEFI without CSM (Compatibility Support Module), and the tablets don't have any CSM." Can you even access a BIOS screen on a device like that ? Do you think it would have popup boot ? Paul |
