"We are working hard to make the official product, the Mozilla VPN,
available in selected regions this year. We will continue to offer the
Mozilla VPN at the current pricing model for a limited time, which
allows you to protect up to five devices on Windows, Android, and iOS at
$4.99/month."

So, a payware option. You'll have to get on their wait list, or
volunteer to be a beta tester. When It's released, cost is $5/month
(first in USA, and later elsewhere) for up to 5 devices. Cheaper than
ExpressVPN at 13/mo, but more expensive than NordVPN at $3.49/month but
requires a 2-year contract.
https://restoreprivacy.com/expressvp...pn-comparison/ (but see
the VPN sites for current pricing). Since Mozilla VPN is still in beta
and unreleased, reviews and test results will have to wait.

Will have to wait for independent testing of Mozilla's VPN (DNS leaks,
WebRTC leak, IP leak, speed degradation), along with comparison reviews
that examine the range of features compared to other VPNs. For example,
will Mozilla's VPN handle both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic, or only IPv4? The
assumption per their articles has users assume Mozilla actually provides
their own worldwide mesh network of VPN nodes at highly stable data
centers rather than resell someone else's existing VPN service.

Update:
I just read that Mozilla is *not* providing their building out their own
VPN network. They are reselling the service provided by Swedish VPN
provider Mullvad (which means "mole" in Swedish) who uses the new and
faster WireGuard VPN protocol. Never heard before of Mullvad probably
because they don't cater to end users. See a review of Mullvad at:

https://www.tomsguide.com/us/mullvad...view-5254.html

Their pricing is ¤5 per month (or about $5.60 USD per month) according
to https://mullvad.net/en/help/pricing-discounts/. Mozilla must be
getting a discounted rate based on expected volume of users they will
migrate to Mullvad. However, unlike some other VPNs, like NordVPN,
Mullvad won't work with some sites, like Netflix and Hulu. In reviews,
Mullvad is severely slower for speed than ExpressVPN or NordVPN.
