Default Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 & 8.1

Just bought this as a tablet/"netbook" Friday, after BB dropped the
price $100.
For a machine built in October, the number of updates is totally out of
hand!
Update BIOS
Update multiple Drivers, including the chipset drivers.
Get rid of the first layer of "garbage ware" endemic to off the shelf
systems.
Add Firefox and Thunderbird
Transfer account settings from another win 8.1 system to add commonly
used Firefox bookmarks and Thunderbird accounts, etc.
Accomplish two large batches of win 8.1 updates.
Add Office 2013 (At least 8.1 knows what to do with an ISO file on a USB
stick!
Office basic configuration, etc
Run win update again. It's calling for 51 "important updates" related to
office, etc.
Allow Lipo battery to discharge during normal use to ~60% before shutdown.
This allows a Lipo to be at a close to optimum state for storage.
(Lipos don't like setting at full charge for any significant length of
time.) I don't know the actual voltages for this battery, but the usual
per cell voltage is 4.2 charged, 3.85 storage, and 3.2 minimum sort of
safe voltage, long enough to start charging.
In the middle of all this, my IP, Cox decided to play with the network,
killing the internet connection, resetting the cable modem, and leaving
the server down that does the TCPIP bit to configure the IP side for
about an hour.
GRRR!
