Where was your connection lost? Was it at the perimeter of your network or was there a problem on a specific machine? My_PC - home_router - ISP My connection failing between my home router and ISP. Did your DNS servers change when your connectivity was re-established? No Was this an ad-hoc situation or is it chronic? It happens some times, I can`t confirm this is caused exactly by connection fail, but by my observation there is (at least) time coherence. L. |

How is your DNS configured? When you run "IPCONFIG /all" is it showing the IP address of the router as your DNS server or is it showing the IP addresses of your actual DNS servers? If it is set to the router IP, I would try reconfiguring the DHCP settings of your router so it passes along the actual IP addresses of the DNS servers instead of using the router as a DNS forwarder. Your issue could involve a number of variables and it might be difficult to nail it down. You might consider just how often this happens and the return on investment of expending energy to try and correct it. Have statically configured IP stack, including both DNS servers. I will leave it as is, problem occurs only time by time.... Thanks for contribution.. |
