Reinstall Dropbox back on same machine by copying all settings etc?
Recently Dropbox (free version) limited installs to three devices (but
still allowed already installed instances to continue over the three limit). The problem comes if for whatever reason you do a full from scratch reinstall of Windows then when you come to add Dropbox it complains you are over the three device limit and refuses to install (even when reinstalling on a previously installed and linked machine). Presumably though if you knew all the registry settings, install files and folders you could just do a new install and then overwrite all these with setting from your old install? If you knew what they were that is. |

You'll find that Dropbox uses either Azure, Google Cloud or AWS for the services it is providing. There are very few service providers running their own servers these days as the three I've mentioned are controlling the market. By the way you posted this here so can you tell us what has this got to do with Windows 10? As such, it violates one or more Usenet RFCs. In order to remain in compliance with said RFCs, the actual sig can be found at the following URL: http://user.xmission.com/~gazelle/Sigs/LadyChatterley |

IMHO it would be much easier for you to go to Dropbox's security page for your account and remove the previously installed and linked machine, before reinstalling. |

Would love too but unfortunately I have over three machines linked to my account. If I unlink any of them then I can't relink them on a free account. |
