Default |||||||||||||||||||||||| "Can't run 16-bit Windows program" problem ?? |||||||||||||||

Sure you can.

16-bit apps are run by a program in %windows%\system32 called wowexec.exe.
WOW stands for Windows on Windows. That is, XP starts a version of windows
3.1, which runs the 16-bit app. Wowexec.exe still exists in XP.

Your wowexec.exe may be corrupt or your path may be too long.

Check Microsoft's article

information.

Windows XP is strictly a 32 bit system. Can't run 16 bit programs.

To all,
Why do I keep getting the dreaded "Can't run 16-bit Windows program" I
never used to get this before. I tried searching Microsoft knowledge
but to no avail. I am sure something is corrupted in some DLL's but I
am not sure. Any help would be appreciated if u solved this problem.
