Try downloading BootVis from Microsofts site. It will analyze your boot up
and show you what is taking the time up. |

delete the contents of the prefetch folder and reboot
just the contents not the folder. normally located at c:\windows\prefetch "Michael Freytag" wrote in message ... my win XP freezes after about 30 sec for a minute. At this time, the normal desktop is already there, I can start some of the programs, but others only more than one minute later. Is ther a tool to see "what's going on" ; msconfig doesn't help!
