Default running a program on CD

I'm really not computer illiterate, but I'm having
trouble running simple programs on my CD Rom drive. When
I put the CD in, it won't automatically run, so I've
tried to "Run" by using brouse, but the D: drive says
RW. I can't firure this thing out, and I'm about to kick
the crap out of this computer. My computer is a
emachines T1116. If anyone can help me, I'd really,
REALLY appreciate it. Thanks so much

Karyn,

Tempting....the idea of kicking the crap out of your machine as I believe
everyone at some point in their day would enjoy that on their own computer,
but before you do, let's first try something. Forgetting for a second about
having the application automatically start when the CD is loaded, does it
work when you run it from the command line / Browser? Is the CD Rom drive a
cd burner? If so, this should make no difference. Have you tried
this...create a temporary directory on your hard drive and copy the cd
contents to that folder and try and run the app from there. If that works,
is there an installation program for the cd contents? Something like
Setup.exe or Install.exe? These are just some of my ideas without knowing
what the application that is loaded on the cd. Hope that helps.

Okay...I put install.exe AND setup.exe in the command
line, but each time I got a flag the says "Please insert
disk into Drive D:." The disk was already in there, but
I opened it and shut it again, and it didn't work. It's
like it won't even try to read the disk in the drive.
Thanks so much for your help!!!

Ok, so have you kicked the computer yet? Let me ask you this then, is it
just this application / cd that you are having this issue? If so, try and
uninstalling what you just installed and retry it again.
