Massive directory creation with windows update
One of the security updates is creating 1000's of randomnly named
directories in the first network share it sees. I had this issue about 4 months ago and now it has sprung its head again on a different computer. I have virus scanned both machines as well as looked for spyware. Both come back negative. This only happens with windows update and it is wuite annoying to sorth through 7000 + directories on my samba server whenever I run windows update. Now I just disconnect the drives, but this is terribly inconvenient. Any ideas as to what is going on? Thanks, |
