Just to expand on the comments that Bruce made, Asking people to use private
email for support is completely contrary to what these peer to peer
newsgroups are all about. You can help someone here and the information on
the original problem and fix will be available to many thousands of users
who may be experiencing the same problem. Using private email only helps one
single user.
