Default Administrator forgets password

I must be the dumbest Administrator in Cyberspace. I run Win XP. I am
Administrator and my daughter has her own account that is password free.

I did not know to do a forgotten password disk, so that I don't have.

Changing the password monthly is aggravating ,but I know essential.

I use a key sequencing technique that puts out gibberish for a password.
Well stupid me I change my sequencing process , in a hurry , doing other
things now I can't remember what the Administrator password is. Or
should I say Supervisor. I went into setup and it said Supervisor was
clear, so I put a simple password for now. Hoping that would override
the one I forgot but it did not.

All the books I read the people under the Supervisor are the dummies and
he, she , clears it up for them. Well I can't even do that if I can't
remember that darn sequence.

Important I get back online, if anyone could give me a response with
hopefully and answer, I would appreciate it. Please don't say reformat.

Windows Home XP

screen comes up.
2. Select safe mode (the version of windows you want to use click XP wait until
it loads the welcome screen.
3. Select Administrator and it will log you on as administrator without a
password (provided a password was not created in this hidden account during
setup).
4. Go to Start - Control Panel - User Accounts.
5. Select your name and click change the password.
Then you should be able to change the password, shut down the computer and
restart in normal mode and use the new password you just created.

****

If you have XP Pro on your computer:-
1. At the log in screen " ctrl-alt-delete " twice.
2. In the User Account, type Administrator
3. Leave the password blank and press enter.
(Most likely a password wasn't created in this hidden account during setup).

If you decide to set a password it is recommended that you create a Password
Reset Disk by clicking on "Prevent a Forgotten Password" link in the left pane.
The Wizard will guide you through.
