Default problems downloading clip art

Why can't I download clip art from the internet? When I
try to "save picture as" it saves it in the designated
folder but I try to open it, there is no clip art. Do I
have to change a setting somewhere? I use AOL.

I can download clip art from Microsoft's clip art gallery
but that's it.

Probably because the clipart you want is for sale and
copyrighted. The picture you see on the web is a layer with
a transparent top layer, you can't click on the image, you
have to pay to download the file.

How are you saving the file? With AOL, you'll want to turn off "compressed
graphics" in their settings. This will avoid *.art files when saving
images. The *.art format is compatible with AOL and very few other
programs. Choose a more compatible format when saving (look in drop down
list of "save as" box for available format types.
