Default How Do I Enable Command Prompt

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Wind ows\System

Look in the right pane for a value called DisableCMD. If present it should
be 0 (zero). If its not, then double click it and set it to 0. If it isn't
there, right click in a blank area of the right pane and select New, DWord
value and name it DisableCMD. Leave the value set at 0. Note, you may
have to create the System subkey as well.

When I open my command prompt using CMD in the run window it opens with a
message
"Command prompt disabled by your administrator" Press any key to
continue... When I do it simply closes the window. (I am the

Administrator)

Its my home PC and I have never disabled it. The Prompt did used to work

ok
as I have used the command prompt.

Anyone know how to enable it please.

Thx
