Default HELP!!!!!

I have a problem with win xp. I have no task bar
(actually I have a grey box with nothing in it including
the start key) When I use the keyboard start key the pop
up window has nothing in it but the word programs at the
top. Nothing else. All my symantec stuff has been
disabled and can't start it back up as well as my trojan
remover. I can't uninstall the symantec stuff as it says
it's not there but it is there. My modem no longer
works. Says it isn't configured right but when I click
on phone and modem properties it won't work either. I
can't view the system info and system restore keeps
telling me it can't restore it to any point I've tried.
Please reply via email as I'm on someone elses computer.
Thanks!!!!!
Rhonda

Default HELP!!!!!

You could possibly have a virus as some virus' disable antivirus software,
disable System Restore and limit your access to the internet.
