More Win10 Update CRAP !!!!
Now my screen dims after a ten to 15 minutes.
Keying or mouseing does not bring it back to the original brightness. Now when unattended and a active app running, the screen now goes into log off. That did not happen before so I could sit down and quickly look at my security camera windows that was on and updating . Now w10 shuts it off. Thanks a lot M$sholes. Now my screen dims after a ten to 15 minutes. Signs of tired eyes!!!!!!!!! At your age it is expected so no need to worry. Keying or mouseing does not bring it back to the original brightness. This keeps you active so you should continue doing it more often. Now when unattended and a active app running, the screen now goes into log off. The machine gets tired of idleness. That did not happen before so I could sit down and quickly look at my security camera windows that was on and updating . Now w10 shuts it off. Thanks a lot M$sholes. You seem to have a damaged keyboard. The capital letter S is missing from it. All crap by M$ See my comments above. If I were you I would ask in alt.os.linux if they can help how to use their wonderful operating system. Windows is for people with some intelligence and resilience to cope under any situations. With Linux, you are not expected to do anything useful so it doesn't matter whether it works or not. https://www.a****st.com/antivirus Perhaps you can also try to learn how best not to put irrelevant links in a post. -- With over 600 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

As expected, Win10 users out there are idiots that don't know the answer
to any valid questions. All of your posts ARE OT. (OT = Off Topic for all you twits) If you do not know a reasonable answer to a question, just get back to your mind numbing Win 10 and BUG OFF ! Oh, you had a question? Didn't see one in your opening post. How old are you? (Yeah, I know, won't get the truth.) Your childish prose belies your mental age. You use a nym that illustrates your opinion, you post diary entries and then claim they are inquiries for help, and are a well-known near-troll. --- Not a valid signature delimiter line. Just what apps should [forced] updates over ride? etc. ... .. . Um, so just what IS the proper range and domain of an OS? ~~ Now .. anyone care to address Win 10 in said light? Sure. If you have a hammer, you can put Cortana in her place. However, it may damage Windows Search. And you don't really care about that anyway. Get a copy of Everything.EXE and do search that way. If you don't like the appearance of Windows 10, you can add Start10 to it. It's all a function of your "independent spirit" as to how you mess with it. Mine isn't customized, because I need it to behave "normal" to answer questions. If I make Frankenstein out of it, that doesn't really help anyone else. It's also hard to customize, because the next time an OS upgrade comes in, it will undo all the Cortana hammering. (So far) the OS does not exhibit self-repair capability. It could *easily* do this. But right now, if I want to stop Windows Update (as an example of a function we need for safety occasionally), I can do it this way. The OS does not object later, and the Windows Update will spin in a circle forever when this happens :-) rename wuaueng.dll wuaueng.dll.bak The OS can be tamed with the right-sized hammer. Find the knee cap, and go to it. But, for how long ? When is the 2018 OS Upgrade coming ? I don't know if you know this, but this is not my "primary" OS :-) It's just a science experiment in the back shed. Paul |

I saw an article just a day or so ago that said a near future update will move Cortana from its current prominent place in Search to a slightly less prominent spot in the Action Center. You'll still be able to wake it/her up with a voice command, so the move probably doesn't make much difference. |
