Simple Accounts Problem
Hi Brian,
Brian Taylor wrote: This link seems to install version 4.7 (mmssetup.exe). This gives ".Net Passport" and "Communications Service" account options. If I use the latter option then a username/password dialog box comes up and nothing I seem to enter will make a connection. did you followed that link? "To download a version of Windows Messenger that works with both .NET Messenger Service, SIP Communication Service, and Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server, click here." http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en On the other hand version 5.0 (install.exe) seems to have SIP support as it works on any other Windows XP (overwriting the default version). (I have even tried manually removing Messenger on the file system and the registry but I must be missing something.) what version is shown in Help|About Windows Messenger?
