Default Fax monitor idle while sending faxes

The Fax Monitor window used to appear automatically after
finishing the Send Fax wizard, and it showed the
transmission progress. Now it does not even appear, and
even if I open it from Fax COnsole it doesn't show the
status of the transmission.

This happened after God-knows what Windows automatic
update. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the fax
services, to no avail.

Thanks in advance --Joe

A number of standard update and repair procedures disabled the Fax Monitor
in the initial release of Windows XP. These problems were fixed in Service
Pack 1. Make sure you apply SP1 if you notice this problem.
