WindowsXP not recognizing Kyocera phone as USB modem
I have tried a couple variants of usbser.sys. I tried my
WinXP home edition from my desktop. I tried the one from my old win2k directory from my laptop. Both of these had worked with the phone before in their respective environments. I also tried a copy of usbser.sys from Kyocera. They said they got it from a laptop WinXP install. I am assuming that the only thing I have to do is to copy that file in the windows/system32/drivers directory and reboot. Is this correct? Do I need to do anything else to make XP happy enough to see that driver? Anything else that might be going on? Thanks. -----Original Message----- I think you're using your windows 2k driver on widnows xp which might be too old. You can try to get the latest drivers form your manufacture's website and install it manually on widnows xp. Reboot the computer and see if it works. . |
