Default Network Path Not Found

I have two Dell's hooked up with a cross-over cable. Both
are running XP Pro. I ran the Network Setup Wizard on
both. The "secondary" machine-- not connected to the
internet directly-- can see the "primary" machine and
read its files, connect to the internet through it etc.
The problem is that the primary machine sees the
secondary machine on "view workgroup computers" but when
I double click on it, I get the message that access is
denied, the network path not found.

I have done a search on this newsgroup and found similar
problems, but no solutions posted.

I'm new to this group and would appreciate any help
offered.

TIA.

Jerry

if using net view \\computername from remote computer and get error 53, try
this quoted from http://www25.brinkster.com/ChicagoTech
"Network path not found" in a workgroup network - error 53

RESOLUTIONS:
1) Make sure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled on on the shared
computer.
2) Make sure that shared machine has something shared.
3) Make sure that you have created the same workgroup and logon the same
username if you try to access w2k/xp network.
4) Make sure that you have enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP if this is a mixed OS
network.
