Default Installing external HD

Hi,

I've been given an external Buffalo 250GB IDE hard drive. I am running XPPro.

I thought it would be just a matter of plug & play (?). Not so.

How do I add this HD as a secondary HD?

Thanks for your help

There isn't an "external IDE" The drive would need a housing that
connects it to USB. Suggest you get the manual.
