I use a laptop very seldom these days (I usually use a smartphone
instead when I travel), but whenever I do, I use a mouse with it. I
hate laptop touchpads even more than trackballs.

I've really had a lot of trouble with the (usually self-clicking when I
try to do something else) touchpads.

It this time, I'm using a laptop with the touchpad disabled, and a
wireless trackball (small receiver, so it's not easily knocked loose
from the USB port). I don't like touchscreens either.

I liked the Thinkpad with the finger stick, and expect to have one for
my next laptop.

My dongle-less bluetooth mouse shuts down too often to save power and

I found I soon got used to flicking the little switch underneath off and
on again.
