Considering how often Yahoo email gets royally hacked, what you're telling me is that if I ever end up using ATT as my ISP I should definitely look elsewhere for an email provider. it's best to use a separate email provider no matter what isp one has, and for a variety of reasons. |

I agree, and that's what I've been doing for 20+ years. Above, I was speaking in a more general sense. I wanted to bash Yahoo a little for their lax security. |

While ATT uses Yahoo for its web mail in some ways it seems to run independently of Yahoo. While I don't understand exactly how it works, I find it interesting. Additionally I find it interesting that ATT uses Yahoo which is owned by the competition. -- 2018: The year we learn to play the great game of Euchre |

It didn't have value in 2008 and doesn't have any now but I guess traders are easily fooled. -- SilverSlimer Proud recipient of special entitlements Fierce adversary of equal rights, improved productivity and error-reduction |

It's not 20+ years for me, but I do the same. I used to use my ISP, but having switched ISPs several times, I had to also switch my e-mail address each time. So I finally (perhaps five years or so ago) switched to a separate provider to whom I pay a low rate, and never will have to worry about switching e-mail addresses again. |
