or on the shrink-wrap you put in the trash?

I don't know about 7, but I do know someone who had that happen with XP
(I believe OEM version). Trash had just been picked up.

That was very helpful, thank you.

You're most welcome.

I'm not particularly minded to help people who don't make at least a
token effort to use a search engine to find the information they are
looking for. I suppose they expect other people to wipe their arse
after they've been to the toilet, as well.

Consider that it takes more time to berate someone than to just help
them. If you don't wanna help, just don't. There's no need to
advertise that
you're not gonna help them. Makes you look like a ...

I really couldn't give a **** what anyone thinks of me. I help those
who make an effort to help themselves. "I've googled for this but can't
find an answer, can anyone help?" gets my attention. Those who expect
it served up on a plate, like so many nowadays, get short shrift. If
you do help them there's frequently not a word of thanks.

Like another poster just said, no good deed goes unpunished.

I know. Humour is often wasted on usenet.

In general, the people in this group are fairly polite

I am civil (if terse) more often than not. As I'm sure you know.

I never understood why people go out of their way to be pricks

I don't, except when it is deserved.

Of course, this is all just my humble opinion.

Mine too. Have a nice day now

Hello.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Let try www.downflex.com/tag/windows-7/

It needs a valid key to get installed

With kind regards

That's helpful.

Terms of service: limited access, 1 dl per person/IP, dl speed limited
to 75 Kb/s

Premium: 2 dl/IP, speed 2.5 MB/s (20 Mbps).

I can't figure out the cost of premium.

They were at Digital River.
Then they weren't.
They they were.
Then they weren't.
Now they're at MS. See Paul's reply for URL. You need an license key.

Your product key is located inside the box that the Windows DVD came in,
on the DVD or in a confirmation e-mail that shows you purchased Windows.

i.e. the above product key information from MSFT (Inside the box, on the
DVD, email) implies a 'Retail' product key entry is necessary.

OEM = no support from MSFT

The Win7 download on microsoft.com has always been 'retail' only.
- It might not say 'media availability is only for retail
product'....for some time its been appropriate to interpert the use of
the 'or in a confirmation email' - the only key MSFT provides via email
is a Retail key, thus inside the box, on the DVD are also indications of
email (since they all are 'or's)

The Product Key is never on the shrink wrap for FPP Retail.
