Somehow killed my laptops access to the internet.
Has both WiFi and Cat5 to my WiFi Router. Finally got WiFi working but cannot access my NAS on the LAN via Cat5. All played together just fine before Network Connections show WiFi (working) and Network Bridge settings. Local Area Connection 2 Connected Bridged Firewalled Marvell Yukon ... Local Area Connection 3 Unplugged Bluetooth Network Bridge (Network Bridge)Connected Firewalled MAC Bridge Miniport 1394 Connection Connected Bridged Firewalled 1394 Net Adapter What is this Network Bridge (Network Bridge) and do I need it ? Not using Bluetooth. Tried repair on all but no go. Everything says Connected but still cannot get through. When trying says Network Path Not Found. Troubleshooting suggestions please. |

Sometimes deleting the network card from hardware manager, allowing it to be found again, reload all of the drivers and running the connect wizard makes these problems go away. It is the nuclear option but it usually works if you have totally hosed things up. |

Giving us the output of ipconfig /all at a command prompt would be a good start. I've had problems like that. You've got Local Area Connection 2 and 1394 Connection bridged. Go into the properties for the bridge and unselect both Local Area Connection 2 and 1394 Connection. Then disable the bridge. 1394 is Firewire. Why bridge them? |
