Default Can I reset to a previous backup date?

-----Original Message-----
Once a tech told me that I could reset my computer to

the
conditions of a previously backed-up date. I think I
actually need to do this now. I cannot open any .exe
files (including Norton Antivirus). My thinking is that
if I reset to a previous day whatever happened will be
fixed.

Am I thinking correctly? Can someone help me reset?
.
Try using system restore in Accessories\System

tools\System restore
