Default Descktop Icon Question.

Hi.

Thanks for reading this, I'll be as brief as possible.

I was cutting and pasting something onto my desktop... after I had finished
I noticed that the text under each of the icons on my desktop had a colored
background box around it. I've looked for desktop settings to fix it (change
it back so that the text appears as if it were directly on the desktop
rather than in a colored box on top of the desk top). Any thoughts about how
to remove the colored box from around the text?.

I have rebooted and that did not fix it. I have also checked that there is
nothing in the clipboard and that I do not get a paste option when right
clicking on the desktop.

Thanks very much for your help.
Jeff.

Default Descktop Icon Question.

Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance. Scroll down and check Use
drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop. If that doesn't resolve your
issue, right click the Desktop, select Properties, Desktop, Customize
Desktop, Web tab. Uncheck any web content.
