I need Help with Windows Firewalls and Msn Messenger. PLEASE
Greetings Vanessa,
To see if the Internet Connection Firewall is enabled, click Start, then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet connections then click Network Connections. Right click the network connection, then click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that the Internet Connection Firewall is unchecked. However, the Internet Connection Firewall should work with Messenger and won't block connecting to Messenger, instead here are some other suggestions you might want to try/check: 1. The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock verify that the time and date are set. 2. If your password information is not saved, verify that you are typing it in with the correct case (uppercase or lowercase). 3. Change your password @ http://memberservicesnet.passport.co...erservice.srf, then try signing in again. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Vanessa" wrote in message ...
