Can't Load Desktop
I have an HP laptop which will not load the desktop. When I start it up,
Windows loads just fine, gives me the login screen as usual, but won't load the desktop. I can do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and see all of the tasks running as usual. However, explorer.exe is NOT running. If I do a File / New Task command and try to run explorer.exe, I receive an error telling me that "Windows cannot access the specified device ... you may not have appropriate permissions" I've tried Last Known Good Configuration, and Safe Mode too, but nothing works. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks. Shannon |
