Hello
Hope I can describe enough to give you guys enough symptoms to work with.
I have 2 drives ... Drive C: 80GB, and I've added another, Drive F: 250GB
(was about a year ago)
I have a folder/file that I can't gain access to.
The "tree" expands to:
F:\Documents and Settings\Bob ...
There are numerous other folders that work fine
With that particular folder/file, when try to open, I get the following
alert box:

Local Disk (F
"Is not accessible."
"Access is denied"

I ran 3 different type of virus scans ...
I ran 3 different types of spyware.
I've done a chkdsk.

Nothing has helped.
That particular drive won't optimize or defragment.

There are numerous folders and files that I HAVE to find some way to get to.

Does anybody have ANY ideas on what I can do??

I've tried numerous FAQ's, Kelly's-Korner, etc, and none have addressed this
particular problem.

I appreciate your help and look forward to your replies.

Philo ...
Thanks for your reply.
I can't get into that folder or the files that are in it
I can expand the "tree" and under it, have tried to pull some files out
singly, but it still blocks me.
I am the only Administrator, and the only one that uses this pc.
I'm still stuggling ... @&$#%&

Try this..
How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp
In XP Home you have to boot in safe mode to see the security tab. In XP Pro
you have to disable simple file sharing.
