Hi Dale,

Not sure what your question is. The log states the file is stored in
the root of the volume, so if Windows is installed on C:, it should be
located in C:\ .

What brand of drive is it? Find out and download the diagnostic tool
from the manufacturers website and run a complete check. I had each of
my three drives fail within a year once, so don't wait too long.
Fortunately I had good backups and was able to clone prior to failure on
two of them.

Was this to repair 'bad block'?

I aslo ran Sea Tools, my HD is MAXTOR. (I dIdn't know Maxtor was a part of
Seagate). Again, it DID NOT indicate that anything was wrong. Things were a
little noisy, sounds better since I ran chkdsk c: /r + Sea Tools.

I had to install .Net Framework to run Sea Tools. Upon check Events, I
noticed:

I checked Services. I noticed ASP.net was 'disabled', so I enabled it.
At shutdown, I got an error regarding ASP. (if it's not one thing, it's

I do NOT need this service. Can I disable it again ?

I plan to replace Harddrive.. can't take any chances ! I have 80GB, want to
go to about 160GB. Is there anything I should check..like can my Pentium 4
(2003) handle this larger drive?

You should run this command: chkdsk c: /r

The "Bad block" message may have been a glitch or your disk might have a
marginal sector. However, if the manufacturer's testing tool gave it a clean
bill of health then I tend to favour the glitch theory.

You should be right with your 160 GB disk, provided that you use SP2 or
higher.
