Immediate close down on opening Outlook in XP
Is this an XP problem? Am I on the right forum?
Whenever I click Outlook on this new computer I get a message that says "runtime error" and the programme closes. If I click a second time it opens OK, but if I should choose a different profile it hits the runtime error result again. All offers of advice, even if only to go elsewhere with the problem, would be appreciated. |

I suggest that you ask in an Outlook newsgroup: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlook news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Cale ndaring news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.conf iguration news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Cont acts news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...ic.outlook.Fax news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Gene ral news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.inst allation news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.inte rop news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.prin ting news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Prog ram_AddIns news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.prog ram_forms news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Prog ram_VBA news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...c.outlook.Thir dPartyUtil -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP IE/OE http://www.fjsmjs.com Reply to Newsgroup. I won't answer email Protect Your PC http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/ . I have posted in Outlook (new users) and got no response, the point is that I wasn't sure if this "runtime error" was a Windows error message or an Outlook error message. You seem to infer Outlook. |
