Default taskbar auto-hyde toggle: is it possible?

To switch on and off the "auto-hide the taskbar" option I have to right
click on it, then go to properties, taskbar tab and there I found the box
to tick.
Since it's something I do very often (when I use a lot of programs I need
all the space on the screen I can, when I don't it's easier to have it
always on the top.), it would be helpful to have a toggle on the taskbar
to do it with just one click or something similar, do you have any idea if
it's possible?
Thank you.

I've never heard of such but if you will move the taskbar to one of the
sides and make it a decent width so you can actually READ what is minimized,
there is NP in just leaving it set to auto hide and always on top; moving
the curser to it pops it out and you'd have to mmove the curser to use it
even if it wasn't hidden.
