Default installing xp over me

-----Original Message-----
I have a question- should I install xp over Me, or do a
complete install? Do I have to reformat my hard drive,

or
can I just uninstall me & install xp?
Thanks.
.
Mark, Just a note to tell you that everyone tells me.

NEVER over-write an existing operating sytem. Files get
mixed up, and files get corrupted, and pretty soon you've
lost the whole thing. You should follow your PC
manufacturers recommendations to the letter, likewise
with Windows XP. I have tried to install XP over XP and
it results in a real mess. Nothing works. Yes, you
probably should reformat your hard drive and do a clean
install. My advice is as-is, take it or leave it, but you
will have a lot better luck by doing it the long way.
