Default Window Security Center stopped recognizing AVG suddenly

so a month ago, i know i've been lazy, i notice the security center poping up
saying i had no anti virus programs installed. so i though, maybe avg stopped
running. i checked out avg and it was running just fine, i made it do updates
and it said it was up to date. i have since check for spyware, malware, etc.
but nothing came up.

any ideas on what could be happening?

thanks in advance.

8.5.409 appears to be the paid version. The DB is current.

Have you tried the online support site accessed from the Help menu?
