Yes, I remember. Since we met, you have been two years older than me.

Is that *still* true?

I think so. Ask RC to be sure.

little joke. g)

I think the convention is that it will remain true until one of them has a
specific life-altering event, such that they stop aging completely. If you
know what I mean.

*I* know what you mean. You mean that one of us will have a
life-*ending* event, not a life-altering one.

I think we both will, but I hope that it's long from now for both of
us, so that two years older status remains in place for a long time.

Default Question about op systems

Hi, Ken.

I keep remembering what Jim Pickering told us when we were anxious about
approaching our 70th birthdays: "The best is yet to come!" Jim was a
couple of years older than me at that time. I suppose he still is. ;)

Well yes - I was just riding on your coattails :-)

I have a friend who is 10 years younger than I, but I forgot his age (he
doesn't look his age). He remembered my age, and added the remark that
when he & I met I was 10 years older than he, and he reasoned that it
was still true. We all seem to enjoy that little joke, and we also
apparently don't tire of it :-)

It was the motto of the high school I graduated from, but it was stated
in Latin, as Optima Futura.

I always thought it meant that life at that school was crappy :-)

More precisely, I tended to *say* that, rather than believe it...

At the age you were when you were graduated from High School, it
probably was true. But not for those approaching their 70th birthday.
