Quicken Downloads have stopped working
I am having a problem downloading transaction into one and only one Quicken
account. All other accounts download fine. I deactivated that account and now I cannot reactivate it. The activation process proceeds until a dialogue box appears that says "Updating financial institution information ...." and then stays there until I cancel it. Web Connect - downloading directly from the web page - works fine. This problem seemed to appear after I installed Norton Utilities and used it to change the service settings and clean my registry. I have tried reversing those changes with no luck. System restore says it won't make the changes back to the previous state. My suspicion is that something is preventing my ID and password from getting to my financial account server and I am not logging in. Is anyone aware of an XP Pro service that might affect the transmission of data from Quicken to a web server. By the way, the Quicken account is for American Express. Everything else in and out of Quicken seems to work find. I am also dealing with Quicken and AMEX on this but thought this group might provide some clues on how to proceed. Norton's newsgroup is next. Thanks, wrnoof |

Nothing to do with XP, continue with Intuit support for assistance. Why
people feel the need for these useless utilities is beyond me, and you just discovered why novices shouldn't be using registry cleaners. -- -- "wrnoof" wrote in message ...
