Outgoing Outlook trouble after update
When sending mail from Outlook 2003 I incur 2 pop ups. 1st with "CIB" header
says "Please wait while Windows configures CIB". 2nd box header is "Setup" and says "The MSI must be launched through set up". Each time I have had to click on that tab 6 times to get it off screen to send each email. How can it be fixed? Grateful for any help!! |

I'm having the same problem with Outlook Express 6. I posted the same
question on the microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress board and got a few responses, mostly having to do with possible viruses. I did deep virus scans, d/l most of the things they suggested, but my machine comes out clean of any viruses, spyware, adware... but continues doing the exact same thing you describe. I also have to click those messages off 6 times before I send each e-mail. Have you found a solution to the problem yet? "gregorytw" wrote in message ... Linda
Do you also have Microsoft Office installed? Is Outlook Express ste to be your default email handler? In Outlook Express select Tools, Options, General? Researching further suggests you have or had a problem with Norton 360! http://snipurl.com/3a0wi [service1_symantec_com] http://snipurl.com/3a0vc [service1_symantec_com] -- Hope this helps. Gerry ~~~~ FCA Stourport, England Enquire, plan and execute ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For others this Linda's original post "LFrasier" wrote in message ... I have Windows XP SP2 with Outlook Express. Recently, when sending my e-mails I get a window that comes up saying "! MSI must be launched thru Setup" and then immediately another window that says "CIB Please wait while Windows configures CIB." I have no idea what either of these is. After a little experimenting I found that just closing the windows with those messages about 5 or 6 times (because they pop right back up again that many times) finally eliminates them and it seems my e-mails gets sent normally after that. Does anyone know what these windows mean, and what can I do to get rid of the problem? Other than that, my Outlook Express seems to work fine, as it always did before this started. Thanks.
