standby doesnt work properly
When I put my pc on standby,the screen turns off but the fans in the pc are
still running.This is the first time it has done this,usually everything shuts down in standby.Can anyone help me?

Matt, open up your PC case and determine exactly which fans are running. The
power supply should be running, pushing air out the back vents of the computer. Also, feel the hard drive for heat and vibration, as it ought to have shut down. What is the CPU fan and any other fans doing? Then let us know. "Matt" wrote in message ... Thanks for offering your help. I have set up my pc to hibernate instead.I
didnt realize that I could put the pc into hibernation by holding shift on the turn off option. Now the fans shut down with the monitor. "T.
