OK, then I'd recommend that Peter try an alternative provider. That's an excellent suggestion. Or he could try contacting Astraweb and requesting that they add the newsgroup to their server. News.individual.net works for me but it isn't free (but only 10 Euros/year). Maybe someone can recommend a nice alternative for PJ. I'll try Agent 8 first though. Agent 8 is a newsreader. No newsreader in the world is going to be able to subscribe to a newsgroup that isn't carried by your provider. If your provider doesn't carry a specific group, your two options are to request that they start carrying it and be patient, or look elsewhere for a provider that carries that group. Note that you're not limited to a single provider. You can have accounts at multiple providers, pulling some groups from one and other groups from another. Your newsreader should make it all seamless. Thanks, I've emailed the ISP with a request to have "alt.comp.os.windows-10" added to their list. |

User-Agent: ForteAgent/8.00.32.1272 As for the small number of posts, that makes sense if they just picked up the group. If you need more history, you'll have to subscribe to that group with another provider. |
