Switching to Outlook vice Outlook Express
Hello Phil,
You first need to Open Outlook and create an account using your Pop3 and SMTP settings that you used in Outlook Express. When you first start the account you will be asked if you'd like to import your old Mail account. Select Yes and Mail and settings should be imported. If you have already created the account you can click on File | Import and Export | And then select the option Import Internet Mail and Addresses and then Outlook Express from the next list. Follow the rest of the instructions to complete the import. In Outlook click Tools | Options | click the Other tab and check the option for "Make Outlook the default program for E-Mail…". Close and restart Outlook and you should be set. (These steps are for Outlook 2003 and may be slightly different for other versions) Hope this helps Thank You Bobby Mikkelson MCSE,MCP Microsoft Consumer Support Engineer This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
