Default Media Player Display(ed)

I am having an issue with the Media Player. I have only V10 installed on
this machine, but when I go to this www site and run a audio file (which
uses the media player) it displayed the OLD media player, the one with the
grey control bar (at the bottom). I can go there with another computer and
it will display the NEW media player (blue controls at the bottom).

I thought it might have something to do with the Add-ins in IE so I disabled
one at a time to see if it made a difference. When one of the two Media
Player add-ins is disabled it doesn't play at all.

How is it that I get the old player when it is NOT installed on this
machine. We have contacted the webmaster and it says it displayed from what
is loaded on MY PC..

Appreciate any ideas.

Thanks.

Right-click on the player interface, choose OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab, and
checkmark the file type you want WMP10 to play. Click OK. In the old media
player you can do the same - in reverse, if necessary.

I checked that options page and everything is checked EXCEPT the DVD Video
and AIFF audio File.

You did understand that I do NOT have the old media player on this computer,
or if I do I can't find it to get to the options? It's not listed in
programs, Add-remove programs or when I do a RMB on a video file to 'play
with'.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Upon further investigation I DID find the OLD player player2. It's not
installed just sitting in the same folder as the v10 files. I did check and
there are NO file types checked in that player while ALL the file types as
checked in v10. Also I checked the associations in 'file types' and
everything media is set to play in v10. Weird one machine does it
correctly, while one does not. I loaded Firefox and went that site and it
plays that same clip in QuickTime!

Thanks again.
