Installing Direct X and Net Framework
Well my HD crashed and I'm re-installing XP
Since there are multiple versions of Direct X and Net Framework, can someone tell me if ... A. I have to install _ALL_ the versions of both Direct X and Net Framework? or ... B. I just install the very latest version that can work on XP ? Can someone please help? Thank you. |

Read here for Net Framework http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework Latest version for DirectX is all you need. |

The .net framework is different however. The .net framework is a bunch of runtime files that are needed for programs written with .net. Are you going to do a Repair Install or a format & clean install?

If the .Net versions are cumulative, you would only need the latest version. However, we may need to have version 1.x, 2.x and 3.x as several "other" software require a specific level to work. |
