"Acquiring Network Address" bug with SP2
I only use static addresses on my network but after both of my machines had
SP2 applied I keep seeing a network icon in my taskbar that when moused over shows a status of "acquiring network address". It doesn't go away either and the little animation keep playing even though I am connected to the network and no settings have been changed. I searched on the net for this and saw someone else had the same problem with a older prerelease version of SP2. Interestingly if I switch user to administrator the status shows "connected". Switching back to my regular Power User account still shows the status "acquiring network address"even though I'm clearly connected. I assume this is just some sort of bug with SP2 since I've never seen it before SP2 but I figured I would post and see if there were any fixes for this out there. Mike |
