Default sound and audio files

I have deleted my xp sound and audio. How can i restore them and from where?

Can you please be a bit more specific so that we can help, do you mean you
have no sound ?

Andy, somehow, i deleted all the main microsoft .wav files such as those that
you can annotae to various tasks/warnings. Tried a recovery file and the
can't be recovered.

Hi Pitbull,

Your windows sounds such as the startup and shutdown sounds are stored in a
folder called Media inside your Windows folder.

See if the media folder exists in your Windows folder, if it does then see
if their are any files in it, if its missing then copy the folder from
another PC, if it exists but has no files in it then copy the files from
another PC.

Once you have done that see if you have the sounds back, let me know ?
