Default Problem with external network HD

Hi All,

Anybody has any experience with the Maxtor Central Axis HD? found at:
http://www.maxtor.com/en/hard-drive-...s-edition.html
which is 2TB Network HD.

I am using it under a GigaBit router and getting the most 15 mb per second
when coping files from different computers into this hd. Otherwise when
coping files between computer it could be 110 MB per second.

It could be a defective HD, just wondering if anybody noticed these problems
in the above HD.

Thanks,

Eric

It could be the "quality" of the network cable used to connect the
network drive to the router. You should be using a certified CAT 6
network cable, to ensure a better signal access. Other possibility is
that the router is affecting the transfer rates or the Ethernet port
is "failing."
