XP Pro x64 and Intel HD Audio problem
Can anyone tell me how to enable the sound output on my new computer?
Intel D946GXis with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Windows XP Professional x64. I first installed the audio drivers and had a problem with the UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio. I downloaded the MicroSoft Update KB901105 and the latest Intel driver ver 5.10.5208.exe. I am now stumped as the sound and audio device in control panel still shows "No Audio Device Installed". All the codecs are installed also under the hardware tab. Any assistance will be appreciated! KR |

XP Pro x64 and Intel HD Audio problem
The drivers were downloaded from intel and the patch was from MicroSoft. I do
not think they are 64 bit compatible, but they are all that I can find for XP 64. Is this one of those problems that I have to wait for intel to publish the correct drivers for? Or is there a procedure I can follow to make the drivers install correctly? Thanks for your reply, KR "Mike Hall - MS MVP Windows Shell/User" wrote: Are your drivers 64bit compatible? -- Mike Hall MS-MVP Windows Shell/User "KR" wrote in message news Can anyone tell me how to enable the sound output on my new computer? This is why many, myself included, do not run a 64bit OS.. until it is
better supported by hardware manufacturers, you would be best off running 32bit XP.. -- Mike Hall MS-MVP Windows Shell/User "KR" wrote in message ...
