Not able to open M S Live cam VX 3000

I have installed this web cam today followed all the instruction as per the
software
I can use the messenger ok also did a update but only once did it operate on
my P C having changed the U S B 2 port after shutting down and on trying to
reopen just the timer stayed on tried other ports still no joy Should I
uninstall this program and re install again or has some one got any idea as
to why it will not open using X P service pack 2 plenty disc space using
Pentium duo core 2 any advice would be much appreciated thank you
