1803 vs 1809 ?

That is an interesting phrase, but not a good one. I have several auto shops as customers. Hang around them long enough and they will tell you which cars are reliable and which ones to avoid. They will also tell you what issues typically occur with what models. (They really like my Subi.) Same valuable input you get with this newsgroup. Are you a professional at misunderstanding everything somebody says? I was talking about the cars that come in to a transmission shop, not what the people at the shop tell you. |

OR will there be a spring 2019 update to MS OS I chose not to wait any longer. Last weekend I backed up each of my 3 PCs with AOMEI Backupper. I then downloaded MediaCreationTool1809. After I started this tool I was informed that it was "Getting a few things ready". After a short while, I was offered two options: 1. Upgrade this PC now 2. Create installation media I chose the Upgrade path and this took about 1.5 hours for each PC. All PCs are running as solid as a rock. |

If you want it immediately, see Monty's reply. There should also be a Spring 2019 update. |

Hi All, I am putting together two custom computers for two different customers. 1803 seems more stable than 1809, but 1803 will just update to 1809. (I do not turn off updates unless specifically requested by the user.) Go with 1809 and hold my nose? Sigh... whack-a-mole time once again. The question for system administrators is what fresh new hell 1809 brings to the table and what needs to be disabled to make it palatable in a business environment. Maybe running Edge when the user clicks on an IE icon? Shipping more info about user activities back to the mother ship? Or is it a bug? FWIW, I've no yet gone to W10, and as the complaints and glitches accumulate, there seems to be less and less reason to do so. I don't have any problems with it. You can still get it for free, btw. |

RDP may be broken under 1809 (a german computer magazine wrote that).
That`s why I brought all my PCs (14) to 1803 and will wait a year for the next upgrade.
